For Your Bread and Butter

Hi, loves!

Our new silver collection, Bread and Butter, is finally here! And I wanted to share a little story about how it came to be.

When I was planning my wedding, I had this vision of a grazing table where guests could grab something to eat, mingle, and enjoy themselves before the ceremony started.

I pictured soft draping around the table, with bread, pastries, and little bites served on beautiful silver trays and bowls.

I thought finding the silver pieces would be the easy part.

It was not.

I spent quite a bit of time looking and even considered renting everything just for the day. But most of what I found felt a little too traditional or ornate. I wanted something that would look beautiful at a wedding but wouldn’t feel out of place on my dining table at home.

So I eventually decided to have a few pieces made.

Wedding grazing table with silver serving trays

I remember being so excited when the first samples arrived. Especially the tray with its little gold shell handles. It was exactly the kind of detail I had been looking for.

And even though I originally had my wedding in mind, I always wanted these pieces to be used at home, too.

For morning coffee, weekend pastries, and especially when we have friends over.

Which brings me to the name, Bread and Butter.

There’s a moment I really love when you’re hosting, right before everyone sits down for a meal.

Someone’s pouring drinks, people are catching up, and there’s bread on the table. Everyone starts helping themselves, tearing off a piece, passing the butter around, maybe going back for seconds before dinner has even started.

Nobody’s really thinking about the food yet. They’re just happy to be there, sharing something simple while the rest of the meal comes together.

I think that’s one of my favorite parts of having people over.

And it’s exactly what I pictured for these pieces.

A tray full of bread, a little bowl of butter, and everyone gathered around helping themselves.

That’s why I called the collection Bread and Butter.

Quite literally, they’re for your bread and butter. But I also love that the phrase means the everyday essentials, the little things we keep coming back to.

The large silver tray is perfect for bread to share when you’re hosting, along with pastries and anything else you want to put on the table. The matching bowl is lovely for butter, cream, or something sweet. There’s also a little oval vanity tray for the small things you keep on your dresser.

The collection is handmade in small batches, and I’m so happy to finally share it with you.

You can find the new Bread and Butter collection here.

I hope these pieces become part of your own little hosting traditions. The kind you bring out when friends come over, when the table is full, and when nobody’s in a hurry to leave.

Because sometimes the best part of a meal happens before dinner even begins.

With love,

Eunsu
